FED:Qld ready to help NZ, says Bligh

TULLY, Qld, Feb 22 AAP - Premier Anna Bligh says Queensland stands ready to repay its
debt to New Zealand by sending paramedics and search and rescue experts to help in its
earthquake disaster.

Ms Bligh said the state would send an urban search and rescue team and paramedics as
soon as possible to help in the recovery.

She said Queenslanders knew what their neighbours across the Tasman were going through
after experiencing a traumatic flood and cyclone season themselves.
