ALBANY -- Twice in the first two minutes, Todd Cetnar stripped the ball from his old Amsterdam High buddy, Charles Beekman, for easy layups.

This wasn't one of those one-on-one games, first to 11 points wins, that Cetnar and Beekman play every summer in the sweltering heat on the outdoor courts at Lynch Middle School in Amsterdam.

This was the University at Albany against overmatched Southern Vermont of Division III Tuesday night at the Recreation and Convocation Center, and Cetnar's quick start helped the Great Danes to an explosive performance.
