Qld: Woman attacked while showing a room

A woman has been held at knifepoint by a man after he asked to be shown an apartment
in central Brisbane.

The woman says she was working at the Pacific International Apartments in Queens Street
late this morning when the man approached her, saying he was looking for accommodation
to share with his wife.

She says the man was well dressed and well spoken and said he was a foreign student from France.

A short time after she began showing him the room, he grabbed her from behind, holding a knife.

The woman says she knocked the knife from her attacker's hand and began screaming and
he fled from the room.

Police have described the man as in his 30s, of Indian or Pakistani appearance, 175cm
tall with brown eyes.

He was wearing an orange button up collared shirt, dark long pants, white shoes and sunglasses.
