QLD: Second motorcyclist dies on Qld roads today

A second motorcyclist has died today on Queensland roads.

The 39-year-old Cairns man was killed when his motorcycle and a sedan collided on the
Kennedy Highway in Mareeba early this afternoon.

His 23-year-old female pillion passenger was seriously injured when the bike and a
rented car crashed at the intersection of the Kennedy Highway and Mareeba Connection Road.

The woman was taken to Mareeba hospital with suspected spinal and pelvic injuries.

The occupants of the sedan were not injured.
